Web Summer Camp will be held in Opatija, one of Croatia's most beautiful coastal towns. The event venue is Hotel Ambasador, a five-star hotel located near the centre of town.

Its fantastic locations, such as the Villa Angiolina and its wonderful park, statues by renowned artists and magnificent villas are waiting to be discovered. Stroll along the Lungomare coastal promenade, visit the Open Air theater and discover the city’s symbol – the “Girl with the Seagull” statue.

Church of St. James

Most probably built in 1420, as a colony of Benedictine refugees from the Friulian monastery of Saint Peter in Rožac, the Church of St. James in the center of Opatija is one of the town’s most significant buildings.

Getting there

Travelling to Opatija is easy, with several options available.

 

By Plane

The closest airport is Rijeka (RJK), just a 20-minute drive from Opatija, though it has limited flight connections. Other convenient options include Pula (PUY) and Zagreb (ZAG), while Ljubljana (LJU) and Trieste (TRS) are also relatively close.

By Bus

If you need transport from Zagreb Airport, let us know! We have several organized shuttle options between Zagreb Airport and Opatija, making it easy to join in. Just be sure to reserve in advance, as seats are limited!

If you're coming from Croatia, Slovenia, Austria, northern Italy, Bosnia and Herzegovina, or Hungary, driving to Opatija is highly recommended.
